Cute or Gray
Jason's brother got married Saturday. The colors were black, white and silver. I really wanted our family to wear just those colors. True to my typical character, I waited to do anything about this until Saturday, just a few hours before we had to leave. I had some gray material I thought I could sew a quick skirt out of (you know, since I have sewn so much in my life, why wouldn't I be able to?). When I went to get the skirt, I found a dress from the same material I had started sewing for Clara a year ago. Instead of starting from scratch, I decided to finish the dress up. It took less than an hour and I still haven't decided if I like it. Clara woke up from her nap just as I was finishing it up. She asked me what I was sewing and I told her it was a dress for her to wear and that she was going to look so cute. She looked at it and without hesitation said, "No, I'm not. I'm just going to look so gray."

Oh my gosh, I love it ! You did a great job. It is really, really cute. You are very talented : ) I have been kicking myself for the past few months that I never learned to sew.
Clara cracks me up, I swear she and Douglas are like the same kid ! Maybe you and I are like secretly related somehow. You know, I was adopted ; )

I actually love it! Especially knowing that it matches the wedding. If she's too bored with it after the wedding, you can add splashes of colors. =) She's way cute.
